Paul Loether

Paul Loether returns for his fifth solo appearance at Nightingale’s Acoustic Café in Old Lyme, CT, on Saturday, October 7, 2023, from 7-9pm.  Known as an “Old-School” (i.e.,  Pete Seeger-style) folksinger, Paul’s performances include a broad range of traditional and contemporary folk music and related stories. His usually topical originals are well-craftedand often feature pointed and/or humorous lyrics. Paul has performed as a solo artist throughout much of southern New England and the Washington, DC,area. For many years, he was a lead vocalist, guitarist, and stand-up bass player for the Maryland-based band Silver Strings MD (see: The Ballad of Doug Hughes - YouTube).
